Looking for large size boots to tackle the harshest winter weather? Take a look at the Columbia Bangor Omni-Heat, available from Walktall in sizes 12 and above. This great-looking boot was performance tested on a German ice rink and provides advanced traction on ice and snow.
On September 29th, 2017, the Bangor boot was tested at Zusammenarbeit Ice Rink near Bern in Germany. The event was dubbed the ‘Ice Walk’ and this astonishing boot was demonstrated to provide traction on the extremely slippery, unblemished surface of the ice.
This remarkably capable boot is the result of a unique partnership between Columbia Sportswear and Michelin.
It incorporates an advanced technical outsole developed using Michelin’s Ice Control Technology. This offers cold temperature resistance, stability and multi-directional control on icy terrain. Columbia’s seam-sealed Omni-Tech™ membrane bootie design, combined with a thermal-reflective lining, makes the Bangor an exceptional winter boot.
Columbia have designed performance sportswear in Oregon for over 70 years. These tough yet cool, classic leather boots are a tribute to their art. Breathable and waterproof, the anti-slip rubber soles keep you upright in the harshest of climates. The outsole compound provides a firm grip down to – 30°C, incorporating a Techlite™ lightweight midsole for superior cushioning and high energy return.
