THE TALL MAKEOVER: MY FIRST MODELLING EXPERIENCE. TALL WOMEN ARE BEAUTIFUL AND GLAMOROUS!

I took part in an exciting project: Belle Grande’s Tall Makeover. I was one of the three tall UK women chosen by the unique tall fashion brand to be interviewed and made to look glamorous. The idea is to show that we, tall women, rock; that we can be as glamorous as any top models and are beautiful!

Watch my interview here…

  • When Kids Start Outgrowing Their Tall Parents - I have always suffered low self-esteem because of my height. No point in denying it. It has taken me all the 47 years of my life (there, I even admit my true age) to realise that it is my mindset that has always been the problem more than my actual height. Now I can proudly […]

This year the chosen venue was in […]

  • Support Women’s Volleyball in England – Play The Sports Lottery! - Some of my readers will probably remember Alex Porter, the handsome volleyball coach who gave me an interview last year: The volleyball team he coaches at the University Essex is going well: this is the first year when he really has confidence that they will be in the finals. The mindset and attitude of the […]
  • Why Tall Women Should Wear Heels - First of all, the question is not “Should tall women wear heels?” It is why we should – because my answer is that yes, by all means, you should! And, secondly, you don’t have to if you don’t want to… but if you do, there is nothing to stop you. Why? Because it is ultimately […]
  • High End Clothing Lines for Tall Women - One of life’s greatest falsehoods is that tall women are considered and treated fairly in the fashion industry. Stemming from the fact that fashion runway models are expected to be tall (at least 5 foot, 11 inches) in order to fit the clothing designed by moguls within the industry, being a tall woman is what […]
  • What Have I Been Cooking for the Midlands Rocks - It has been a long while since I updated my readers on what has been cooking in the Midlands Rocks kitchen. • The End of tallgirls.co.uk and Start of Tall Collective - As many of the tall ladies reading my blog will know, the brand Tallgirls (tallgirls.co.uk) is no more. Their story is hard to read. It is so sad that a niche market brand had to close to down like this… I am publishing this post on behalf of Joanne McHarg, the lady behind TallGirls, in […]
  • Royal Hunt Are Back In Action With Awesome New CD “Cast In Stone” 2018 - Guess who is back in action! My favourite tall rock talents, the Danish progressive metal band Royal Hunt: While having a break from releasing new material (last album they issued was in 2015, “Devil’s Dozen”), the quintet have kept busy. Other that working on their own separate careers, they also managed to release a best of […]
  • How It Is OK to Chat Up A Tall Girl - I recently shared with you a message from a stranger that I found outrageous and have since stopped responding to any texts from people I don’t know in real life. • Why I Do Not Respond to Messages from Strangers! Warning: 18+ Content - It is no one’s secret that I receive a high volume of unsolicited messages – on all social media I am on (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram; even the odd one on LinkedIn). So far, I was making a joke of that (see, for instance, my post “How Not To Chat Up a Tall Girl”). Not […]
  • Tall Slim Tees Now Offer Women’s Sizes - We all know what a challenge it is finding t-shirts to fit our tall bodies. The amount of time we have all purchased tops that are supposed to be tall fit but end up shrunk in length or width… Or when we decided to save some pennies by simply buying a bigger size tee from a […]
  • The Votes Are In. I Am Keeping My Old Alias. - I recently asked you, my readers and followers, for advice: shall I keep my old alias or change it to one with my new surname. Your responses were pretty much unanimous: keep the old name. Some of you reached out by email, which always thrills me: to hear from the “real” you. This also comes […]
  • Readers’ Poll: Shall I Change My Alias From Angie K to Angie P… Or Not?? - Hey, my lovely readers and followers, please help! After a recent change in my marital status, my surname now begins with the letter “P”.  How do you feel about the idea of changing my alias from Angie K to Angie P?  Neither of these are unique names (there seems to be a song maker called […]

  • How Not To Chat Up A Tall Girl - Being a tall blogger is great, but comes at a price: receiving unsolicited messages. A fair amount of them. Not that it bothers me, as they all go into “Filtered Requests” automatically. But it is striking to see just how inadequate men can get when it comes to contacting a girl that they like. Come […]
  • Tall Maxi Skirt by Talltique – How Would You Wear It? - Over the past couple of years, I have read numerous comments from tall ladies complaining that it is impossible for them to find maxi skirts and dresses long enough for them.
